General PMU Contraindications
​

Permanent makeup may not be suitable if you are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation

  • Using Accutane (within the last 6–12 months)

  • Prone to keloid scarring

  • Have uncontrolled diabetes

  • Have active skin infections, rashes, or open wounds in the treatment area

  • Have certain autoimmune conditions (medical clearance required)

  • Have recent Botox or fillers in the area (waiting period applies)

A consultation is always required to assess suitability.

Pre and Aftercare

Pre Care

  • Avoid brow tinting, lamination, waxing, or threading 7 days before

  • Do not tweeze or shape brows before your appointment

  • Avoid chemical peels or laser treatments near brows 4 weeks before

After Care

  • Brows will appear darker initially — this is normal

  • Light flaking may occur between days 3–7

  • Do not pick or scratch

  • Avoid brow makeup until healed

  • Keep brows dry when showering for the first few days

  • Apply very little balm 2x a day
